2007 POOL RULES

1.       Hours of Operation:  Access to the pool during regular hours of operation, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., can be obtained by use of your assigned swipe card.  Each home is assigned two access cards.  Replacement access cards will be at a cost of $100 per card. 

2.      Swim at Your Own Risk:  This pool is unguarded at all times.  Patrons swim at their own risk.  An emergency phone is available to call 911 in the event of a drowning, heart attack or other serious injury.  The Homeowners Association is not responsible for any accident or injury in connection with such use.

3.         Swim Attire:

·         Swimsuits must be worn at all times in the pool. 

·         No cut-offs or street clothes permitted in the pool.

·         All patrons requiring diapers must wear swim diapers. 

4.   Child Supervision:

·         All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. 

·         Water wings, baby tubes, life rings, etc. are only permitted on children if the parent or adult is present in the pool with them or at arm’s reach. 

5. Pool Courtesies and Safety:

·         No rafts, floats, rings, balls, inner tubes or diving sticks are permitted in the pools, except during those times which may be specified by the attendant. 

·         No radios are permitted in the pool area, except for use with earphones. 

·         Towels may be hung on chairs, but please refrain from hanging towels and other garments on the fences.

·         No playing on the steps or handrails of the pool.

·         For your safety all deck furniture must be 10 feet from the edge of the pool.

·         Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the pool area and recreation facility.  Please dispose of trash in the receptacles available and clean the tables appropriately for someone else to use when finished.  NO glass containers permitted at any time.

·         Alcohol is strictly prohibited from the pool area at all times.

·         No running, horseplay or use of offensive language, which would endanger the safety, or enjoyment of others is permitted at any time. 

·         No bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, strollers or baby carriages are allowed in pool area. 

·         No animals allowed in the pool area, with the exception of guide and/or service companion animals.

·         The far right lane is reserved for lap swimmers at all times.

6. Personal Property:  The Homeowners Association is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
7. Smoking.  Due to the Delaware Law prohibiting smoking from enclosed public areas and because many pool patrons have found it offensive in the past, smoking inside the pool area is strictly prohibited.  Patrons are permitted to smoke outside of the pool area and a smoker’s outpost is available for cigarette ashes and butts.

Patrons are responsible to clean up behind themselves, dispose of all trash, push chairs back to tables, relocate lounge chairs to their original position and put down umbrellas after use to prevent wind damage.

The Board of Directors has the authority to enforce these rules and may ban violators from the pool.  These rules and regulations may be modified by the Board at any time.  Notice of changes or additions will be posted in the pool area.
